ELGIN, IL – A 33-year-old man was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of a property damage crash in Elgin Thursday.
According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, the hit-and-run crash happened before 11:45 p.m. on the 1000th block of Route 31. The driver responsible for the collision, Estaban J Lopez, immediately fled the scene.
Deputies later located Lopez on the 200 block of Deerpath Drive in Oswego and arrested him and transported him to the Kendall County Jail.
Officials have not specified the events leading to the hit-and-run crash or reported any injuries.
